Mike Dasti's earliest musical influences included drummers Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Ringo Starr and "Animal" from The Muppets. He's played in every province and territory in Canada and has toured Europe, the U.S. and Japan throughout his 30 years of "playing drums for a living". He's played more than 5,000 live gigs and recorded 20 album projects, plus numerous film, television and radio performances. His years with Cano will always remain the highlight of his career.

Nowadays he prefers to stay close to home in Toronto raising his two children Dominique and Matthieu with his wife Madeleine, working a real job with the Toronto Transit Commission, and playing club gigs on the weekends and lovin' every minute of it ... Rock on!
